01Introduction
Pier Cloud is a FinOps SaaS platform committed to transparency in the use of tracking technologies. This Cookie Policy describes which cookies we use, for what purpose, and for how long, in compliance with the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD – Law No. 13,709/2018).
This policy is supplementary to our Data Protection Policy and should be read in conjunction with it.
02What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored in the user's browser when they access a platform or website. They allow the platform to recognize the user, retain preferences, and collect information about usage patterns — making the experience more secure and efficient.
Pier Cloud uses browser cookies only. No usage data is stored on our servers via cookies — analytical data is sent directly to the service provider (Amplitude).
03Cookie Categories
3.1Essential Cookies
Required for the platform to function. Without them, basic features such as authentication and navigation are unavailable. As they are strictly necessary for service delivery, they do not require user consent. Legal basis: Art. 7, IX, LGPD.

04Cookie Use and Preference Management
By accessing and using the Pier Cloud platform, the user automatically agrees to the use of cookies described in this policy, including analytics cookies. This agreement is necessary to ensure the full functionality of the platform and the continuous improvement of our services.
If the user wishes to review or change their cookie preferences, they may do so at any time via the Cookie Preferences link available on the platform. Disabling analytics cookies does not affect access to platform features, but may limit our ability to identify improvements to the user experience.
Essential cookies cannot be disabled, as they are indispensable to the platform's operation. Users may also manage and delete cookies directly through their browser settings:
- Google Chrome: Settings > Privacy and security > Cookies
- Mozilla Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies
- Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data
- Microsoft Edge: Settings > Privacy, search and services > Cookies
05Data Retention and Deletion
Data stored via cookies is retained according to the durations described in the table in Section 3. Pier Cloud does not store data collected by analytics cookies on its own servers — this data is stored and managed directly by Amplitude.
To manually delete cookies, users may access their browser settings and remove cookies associated with the Pier Cloud platform domain.
